After watching the Spielberg-Hanks HBO miniseries The Pacific, I drew John and Lena Basilone as played by Jon Seda and Annie Parisse, and submitted it to the LAUSD CommUNITY: better together contest, where it was chosen -- among others -- to be displayed at OXY Arts for a week for the public. 

Having my work on display led to an interview published in the LAUSD newsletter about my experience with the arts in and out of school, my inspiration, and interests, along with a certificate of recognition signed by Kevin De Leon.
